I just finished this painting in studio from a plein air sketch I did on the morning of the Eclipse several years ago. The family cabin was in the Zone of Totality at the Middle Fork of the Payette River in Crouch, Idaho. I painted at the crack of dawn on the river edge until the eclipse made it impossible to paint anymore.
