Painted en plein air on a hot July morning 2024, and later finished in Studio from my plein air study on Belgian Linen. This was truly a magical place amidst the ever-changing dunes and marshlands of the South Fork of the Hamptons. The Pitch Pine is the dominant tree in this area, as other trees don't stand a chance with the sweeping winds gusting over the inlet. Far from the fabled celebrity Hamptons, this was truly a slice of paradise.
