This was painted en plein air on a gorgeous summer morning in Viking Village, Long Beach Island, NJ, and completed in my studio. I came upon this stunning maritime scene and worked alla prima to quickly capture the vibrant colors and reflections. It was fun to work amidst the fishermen delivering their early-morning catches nearby.
